VidSoon (vidsoon.com) is operated by Zhiyang Yu. This policy describes what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account data — email address, name (if provided), sign-in method (currently email/password), password hashes, and account state.
• Usage data — credit balance and ledger entries, generation jobs (template, prompt text fields, status, cost), run history.
• Template inputs — text you enter into template fields and, where a photo-reference template is available, the two photos you choose to upload. We store the photos, their character-slot assignments, file metadata and your use-rights confirmation. Uploaded photos are normalized before storage and embedded EXIF/GPS metadata is removed. This workflow does not accept customer video or audio uploads.
• Billing data — checkout payments are processed by PayPal; we receive and store order/receipt state and your email, never card numbers.
• Support data — messages and related contact, order, or job information you provide when requesting help.
• Technical data — hashed identifiers and request metadata for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and security logs.

How we use it

To provide and meter the service, generate your requested clips from the selected template inputs, process orders, prevent abuse, moderate prompt text, send verification and account email, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal data or use your prompts and reference photos for advertising.

Who receives data

• Cloudflare — hosting, file storage, and authentication runtime.
• Alibaba (DashScope/Wan) — when you start a generation, the template's prompt and any selected reference photos are sent to the video model to generate your clip; transactional email is delivered via Alibaba's email service.
• Creem — prompt-content moderation before generation.
• PayPal — payment processing when you buy a credit pack; the payment details you enter at checkout go to PayPal, not to VidSoon.
• Google Gmail — receiving and responding to support emails forwarded from our domain address; do not email identity documents or payment-card details.
• Google Analytics — optional statistics, only on public marketing pages of vidsoon.com and only after you choose Allow in the analytics preferences prompt. When allowed, GA4 sets analytics cookies and a pseudonymous client identifier, and reports the page path (query strings and fragments are never included) plus clicks on template or credit-pack controls, along with the standard device, browser and network metadata the SDK collects. Advertising storage, signals and personalisation stay denied, and your prompts, photos, names, emails, tokens and other private inputs are never sent in our events. If you Reject or never answer, the Google tag never loads.

Providers may process data outside your country under their applicable service terms. The inputs needed for your requested generation reach the model provider. We make no claims about provider training-data use beyond their published terms.

Retention

Unbound reference photos normally become eligible for cleanup 24 hours after upload. Photos attached to an active job are retained while it is processed or its outcome is reviewed; after the binding is released they return to the normal cleanup process. Deletions are scheduled and retried if storage is unavailable, so eligibility is not a promise of instant deletion. Image-content validation is separate from file cleanup.

Generated clips are stored as private, owner-downloadable MP4s for a 30-day download window from storage. Expired downloads are blocked and artifacts are queued for scheduled deletion; failed deletion attempts are retried. This is not a promise that every copy or backup is purged exactly at the deadline. The credit ledger, receipts, and security records may be retained for accounting, disputes, and fraud prevention. Job and prompt metadata can remain after a video expires; contact support to request review or deletion of personal data. Backup and provider retention follow the applicable services and legal obligations.

Your choices

You can export your clips during the retention window and request deletion of your account data by emailing support@vidsoon.com; deletion is handled manually — we do not promise instant or automated purging. Statutory rights (access, correction, deletion where applicable) are preserved.

Analytics are optional and off until you allow them on a public page. You can change that choice here — choosing Reject stops all further Google Analytics events on this device:

Security

Access to stored clips requires your authenticated session; private job artifacts are not public. Separately approved demonstration clips may be published on our website; private customer jobs are not automatically published. We will notify you of a personal-data breach where required.

Children

The service is for adults 18+; we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Material changes are announced on this page with a new date.
